Different issues on current activity were discussed and Board made a decision on regular annual International Conference Ti-2012 in CIS to take place at Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia from 22nd till 25th of April, 2012.

VSMPO-Avisma to bring new products for aircraft industry to US market. SKRIN Newswire

VSMPO-Avisma Corporation has signed a long-term agreement on redistribution of products with Universal Stainless & Alloy Products (USA), e-Mash reports. It is planned to bring new titan products for aircraft industry to the US market in 2012. New products will be used while manufacturing aviation fasteners and in the medical industry. The Russian manufacturer will be supplying billets for production of bars for NF&M International Inc (US subsidiary of VSMPO-Avisma). As reported by the Corporation, NF&M intends to manufacture bars of small diameter, wire and straight fine-tolerance bars. It is planned to decrease the minimum diameter of the bar from 0,75 to 0,25 inches, and the minimum diameter of wire - to 0,125 inches, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported.

LOS ANGELES — Allegheny Technologies Inc. (ATI) has seen improved titanium shipments and prices in both aerospace and non-aerospace markets, the company said in its third-quarter earnings statement.
The Pittsburgh-based specialty metals producer said that titanium mill product shipments totaled 36 million pounds in the first nine months of this year, a 22-percent increase from the same period last year and just short of the nearly 38 million pounds shipped in all of 2010. ATI previously said it was targeting shipments of 50 million pounds of titanium in 2011.....

Strong build rates for new airliners will spur a 68-percent growth in titanium shipments to the commercial aerospace sector by mid-decade, while slower-growing military sales will be driven in large part by escalating demand from China, according to titanium supply executives....

2. The 50th Anniversary of the World Conference on Titanium;
Each IOC country is suggested to summarize the history of the total 12 times of the world conference on titanium since 19688 in London, eg, the organizers, names of the IOC members, so as to make preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the World Conference on Titanium..........
